Kalvö Oysters

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit a genuine fishing dynasty on the island of Kalvö just off Fjällbacka, where you’ll meet Åsa and Anders Hardin who manage the oyster beds that their family have taken care of since the 1600s. The European flat oyster, Ostrea Edulis, native to the west coast of Sweden and Norway, is a real delicacy. On Kalvö you can learn all about this oyster and get the chance to pick your own beauties as well. We’ll then sit in the fishing hut and you’ll be taught how to open them, with a drink of Porter and vinaigrette or lemon served with the oysters. We guarantee you an out of the ordinary nature and foodie experience.

Water is a feature in eleven of the holes and the thrilling first shot takes place over the river where it meets the sea.
