As early as 1834, the doors were opened for the first time to the Stora Hotellet in Fjällbacka, then by Mamsell Charlotta Hanqvist who ran an inn and shop. Since then a lot has happened and the hotel has gotten bigger and refurbished in installments, but one thing is still the same; the tranquility and atmosphere.
It is no secret that Bohuslän with its raw cliffs and open sea spreads a calm in the people who come here. With us you get to enjoy fantastic dining experiences, comfortable beds, fresh air and time to just be.

After a wonderful moment in relaxation, where you can enjoy Japanese baths, saunas and beneficial treatments, it’s time to enjoy a good supper in our restaurant. Stora Hotellet invites you to a wine cellar beyond the ordinary. Here you as a guest can choose to visit our wine cellar and choose wine for the evening’s dinner. Here, everything from Jacue’s Frédéric Mugnier a Musigny Grand Cru from 2006 to Domaine Champalou from Vouvray. A wine lover’s dream!
