Stora Hotellet was built in the late 1800s. There are a number of floors and no lift in the hotel. Some rooms have sloping ceilings. The restaurants have one or several steps at the entrance.
Arrival and Departure
The hotel room will be available from 15:00 on the day of your arrival. Check out 11:00 on the day of your departure.
The room is reserved for your arrival until latest 18:00. If you are planning to arrive later please let the hotel know beforehand to ensure that the room is not let to another guest.
Parking
The hotel does not have its own car park. There are several free parking places nearby. From 15 June to 15 August special parking restrictions apply in Fjällbacka. Most town centre parking places are time restricted then, and you will need a parking disc (available to buy locally) to park there. There’s a dedicated long stay car park about 15 minutes walk from the hotel, where parking is free and you don’t need a parking disc. You are welcome to stop for a short time outside the hotel and unpack your car.
Guest harbour
There are two guest jetties in the centre and one more by Brandpark, a short distance from showers and toilets. At the southernmost of the jetties in the centre there are 20 bookable places which can be booked and paid for online via the booking site dockspot.com. It’s also possible to add extras like bread rolls and morning papers.
The harbour office is located on the jetty by Ingrid Bergmans Torg. They have a great variety of activities and things they can offer. Everything from boat taxi to delivery of bread rolls, Danish pastries and a lot more, direct to your cockpit.
